| Trying to re - live in person a piece
of history I've only read about in school long ago, to hear the sound of
thundering horses, the smell of torches and the archers crossbow, arrows
whizzing by are the stuff Hollywood and lessons are made of and this
brought all of this and many more alive, permanently etched in the minds
of all who walked in the steps of kings! A sincere thanks!!!!! |
Taking pictures was major part of the trip, we decided to make a contest for
the best pictures taken. Please check our photo
contest.
Group pictures were always fun. Getting a tourist passing-by and handing him
20 cameras was hilarious!

experience by providing historic background and interesting stories of
those who lived there. |

| Seeing so many interesting places in
such a short time, was the best, even though we might have been rushed in
times, we got MORE FOR OUR MONEY...... |
Meals were always a time to mingle and to make new friends
Shopping was always fun, great deals and excellent souvenirs.
Learning about architecture, history, exploring every corner, riding the
carriage was all part of the trip.

| Chillon Castle is a must see for
anyone who loves Medieval history. It is like stepping back in time into
the life of a working castle. It is filled with furniture of the time and
has beautiful window seats where women used to sit and embroider. The tour
was wonderful and informative but there is much more to see on your own. I
hope I get to go back there one day! |
